  • Fall Kickoff - Sunday, September 13th. Join us for a breakfast prior to the service as we prepare to launch our ministries for the Fall! Children’s ministry, youth, and Life Groups are all set to begin this week.
  • Freedom Session 🗝️ - Starting September 17th! You can register here: Freedom Session Registration
  • Community Worship Night - Sunday, September 20th at 6pm. Every 3rd Sunday of the month, join us for a night of worship and fellowship!
  • Apologetics Class 📔 - 5 sessions on Tuesdays, September 22nd-October 27th, at 6:30pm (break for Thanksgiving).
  • Ladies’ Bible Study - Thursdays, 7-8:30pm, September 24th-November 5th. Contact Chantel Beal (403) 436-0297

Life comes at us rapidly and with many difficulties. When this inevitably happens, where do you turn? What keeps you steady? In Psalm 73, we find a man weighed down by distractions. The wicked seem to prosper, and serving God seems to be in vain. But being in God’s presence with God’s people proves to be the answer. Whatever distractions you find in your life, you can find solace in God’s sanctuary too.

But unless we know God and know ourselves, any wisdom we claim is vain. Psalm 90 reveals the majesty of the eternal God, and frailness of us as sinful mortals. Though it’s not something we like to reflect on, considering our inevitable death is the key to living wisely in this world. And beyond that, we have hope because the eternal God took on a human nature and died for us, so that we might live and do works that will last into eternity. Commonly, we associate fear and unpleasantness with the word. But though those aren’t wrong, something we often miss is that God’s judgment is a blessing too. It is designed for the protection and care of God’s people. In this section of Jude, we see how God blesses His people by working to root out false teachers from their midst for good. Last Week's Message "Warning Signs" | Bryan McIver Jude 1-10 Sometimes, something is serious enough to make us change course. This is where Jude found himself as he prepared to write his letter. He wanted to write in celebration of the Gospel, but the presence of false teachers necessitated a response. In this passage, we find warning signs that we’ve been infiltrated. The call for us is the same as for those back then: contend for the faith.
